Volunteer Opportunities

There are many opportunities to get involved with the Northwest Earth Institute in the Puget Sound Region. If you are interested in helping out, please get in touch with your community's chapter.

Start a discussion course

All it takes to get a discussion course started is a group of 7-12 people, course books, and a venue. You can start a group of people for a 9-week discussion course in your workplace, faith center, community gathering place, or home.

Mentor a course

If you have taken at least one discussion course and would like to deepen your involvement with NWEI, consider attending a one-day training and becoming a course mentor. A course mentor attends the first and last session of a course and is available as needed in between. At the first session, they help organize, collect book fees, sign up members, and explain the structure of the course sessions to follow.

Host a Home Eco Party

Take "Think Globally, Act Locally" to heart and invite a group of friends to your home, where a trained NWEI volunteer will facilitate an interactive, two-hour discussion on opportunities to make our homes more earth-friendly.

Tabling

Join us at Farmer's Markets, local conferences and festivals to get the word out about the Northwest Earth Institute.
